Newcastle Struggling after Offloading Cabaye, Says Clark

Ex-Newcastle United star and current Birmingham City manager Lee Clark believes the Magpies were seriously affected by the sale of their key man Yohan Cabaye to PSG. “Obviously when you lose a talisman, a top-quality player, like Cabaye it is going to affect everyone. They didn’t bring anybody in to replace him,” Clark said. “Even if they had they would have found it difficult to replace somebody of that quality.” “Once they did it was always going to prove difficult.” “He was the main man in terms of scoring goals and making goals,” the boss added, as highlighted by Agen Bola indo11.com. “He was the center point for the team and everything went through him.” “You don’t get the chance to join one of football’s super powers if you aren’t a top player though.”
