According to Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini, his former star Edison Cavani was offered to Manchester City but at-that-time City head coach Roberto Mancini turned down such good opportunity and signed Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli instead.
The Uruguay international then joined Napoli and later Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain.
"Cavani? I suggested Cavani to Mancini for his Manchester City," recalled Zamparini, as quoted by reliable
Agen Bola indo11.com.
“He chose (Mario) Balotelli.”
"I told him I must not understand anything, because I thought Edinson was much, much better," the Palermo president added.
