"Hukuman disiplin yang pantas sudah dijatuhkan kepada yang bersangkutan," bunyi dari lanjutan keterangan resmi tersebut.

Tidak dijelaskan dengan rinci apa maksud dari hukuman disiplin tersebut. Meski dihukum, Rosberg masih diperbolehkan mengikuti sisa balapan F1 musim ini.

Rosberg Tak Terkena Sanksi FIA

Sirkuit de spa Franchorchamps menjadi saksi insiden tabrakan di lap kedua yang dialami Rosberg dan Hamilton. Akibat peristiwa itu, juara dunia 2008 terpaksa menyudahi balapan setelah jet darat W04 yang dikendarainya mengalami kerusakan di bagian depan.

Wolff mengatakan insiden tabrakan ini wajar terjadi di dalam dunia balap. Sehingga, tambah dia, ini bukan situasi yang harus dibesar-besarkan.

"Selama pertemuan berlangsung, kedua pembalap tidak menemukan titik terang untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini. Tapi yang jelas, Rosberg telah mengatakan tidak sengaja menabraknya. Meskipun Hamilton menganggap hanya omong kosong," kata Wolff.
